Nicola Masters is an author who finds it excrutiating to write about herself in the third person so she’ll knock that on the head straight away.
I was born and raised in Bushey, just outside of London. I moved to Cornwall in 2017, having fallen in love with it when I went there on holiday as a kid.
For three years from 2012 I wrote a bad joke every day. I posted them on my now-defunct but quite-successful-at-the-time Tumblr.
In 2016 I wrote, directed, and produced The Miserables, a parody musical set in an office where everybody hates their jobs. The show won an award for Best Comedy, as well as being nominated for 6 other prizes at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe that year.
My work has featured on several series of BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack. I have also written for The Overtake.
My first novel, Happy Happy Happy, was published by Amazon on May 19th 2022.
